Biography
For the last few years I have been passionately involved with my camera, producing digital art pieces and photographs and have had successful exhibitions in the South of France before moving back to Brighton in the UK last year. I’m a member of the Brighton and Hove Camera Club and have also been accepted into Hove Arts. I exhibited at the Grange Gallery in April this year, and at the Artists Open House in May. In August I will be part of the Old Market exhibition
Prior to this I was freelancing, writing and editing and worked for 8 years on Channel 4 websites and for other clients like Sky. I also have an M.Sc in Clinical Psychology and have published research papers:

2007-2010
For the last 3 years I have had an exciting relationship with my Nikon. In the South of France I began by photographing local scenery and learning photo manipulation which led to mounting my prints onto canvas. I had several successful Exhibitions before moving to Brighton in 2009. In Brighton I’ve had my work in several venues, including the Grange Gallery, the May Artists Open House and the Old Market in August 2010. I have also been commissioned by an Interior Designer in France, to put together 7 of my images and the recent Open House had led to several more commissions. I am currently attending a darkroom photography course at the City College.

Worked full-time on a wide range of educational websites. This involved watching programmes, researching areas of History, Science, Health and Culture and then writing up a Find Out More section covering films, books, websites, organisations etc. Worked as Chief Editor on a website I created called “The Book Lounge” and as Asst. Editor on ‘The Black and Asian History Map’. In addition my role incorporated:
- Managing a team of freelancers
- Liaising with producers and project managers
- Contributing to team brainstorming sessions and meetings

LIFE EXPERIENCES/INTERESTS
Art Photography
Worked with Gilbert & George in East London for several weeks as their exhibition assistant, then in 2007 I had my first Art Exhibition in Villefranche-sur-mer at the Chapelle St Elizabeth with several more exhibitions in the South of France.
This year since being back in Brighton I have exhibited at the Grange Gallery in Rottingdean, the Artists Open House in Hove and will be at the Old Market exhibition in August.
Travelling
1989 – Backpacked around the world for a year.
1990 – I was interviewed by Andrew North for the BBC for a Radio 4 programme called Itchy Feet – all about travelling.
1991 – Taught English and worked alongside the VSO in Brikama, a village near Banjul in The Gambia.
1995 – Assisted at a Tibetan Refugee camp in Lake Pokhara, Nepal –helping to put on plays with the children and worked with local women’s initiatives promoting eco-tourism.
1998 – Spent 6 months in Brazil learning Portuguese (and samba!).
Charity
1984-85 – Worked for a year at The Howard League in London as the Director’s Assistant where I became involved with all aspects of prison reform; met and interviewed Donald Woods (film “Cry Freedom”) – met and interviewed MP‘s and journalists; carried out fundraising events, organised conferences and visited prisons.
Other Interests
Art and photography, travel, fine dining (!) mandarin chinese, Fair Trade initiatives, film, fashion, live music (I wrote regular gig guides in Nice, France) and human psychology.
